Oak King by Anne Stokes - The Oak King is the personifications of summer in various folklore and mythological traditions. He engages with the Holly King in an endless "battle" reflecting the seasonal cycles of the year: not only solar light and dark, but also crop renewal and growth.

Don't remember being to impressed with paint by number when I did do it, but this is definitely a far cry from what I tried at age ten. Almost done and since I was doing a lot of blending, the second set of paints was a great idea. Consistency between the two sets was perfect.
My 1st attempt at painting chose a hard one wish i had chose to do this as my 2 or3rd now i know to do the small numbers first so the paint dont blend over into them found outlining first w the paint then filling in is easier gives more defination However its looking AMAZING !!)
It's not finished yet, but I couldn't wait. Can't remember how young I was when I last did a paint by number, but I vaguely remember being unimpressed since you had it to get a longs ways off for it to look like anything. Not the case with these kits. Thanks for a fine product and great support material such as "tips & tricks". I had intended to blend certain areas at the boundaries, and your online example with the clouds in "Quiet Time" reinforced the the plan. Thanks for a fine product.
Really enjoyed this painting! I cant believe how good it came out. I will be buying another painting for sure.
