I loved painting the Marquarie it made me think of my great great great grandfather who was a sea captain. The paints went on easily and the numbers were easy to read and to my surprise were all there. The paper guide that was enclosed was a great add on as I had painted over a few numbers and could easily refer to it. I am now working on the lighthouse and again find it relaxing and soothing. I get lost in the process of painting and my mind wonders about the subject. I can't get enough! Kathy Donahue
I like to paint, but this was my first paint by numbers. I remembered those cheesy kits from my childhood in the 60’s, so I hesitated to make a purchase. But this was really a lot of fun! I definitely wet rogue on a few of the bits, but I look forward to doing another one!! Thank you for these great kits. If you are on the fence about purchasing, do it! You’ll enjoy the process and love the results!
This is a truly stunning painting and I absolutely adore the finished article! It was a fairly quick and easy painting to complete, but very satisfying. I did have to paint in some of the ropes and rigging detail that had been lost from the original PBN, and there were a few random cloud colours which didn't look right so I painted over them in a different shade. I also outlined the sails as they were all blending together. But these finishing touches really make it stand out and also add to the satisfaction, knowing you added your own touch to the painting.
I was unsure if I would enjoy paint by numbers.
That was answered almost as soon as I started this painting.
Soon, I was painting furiously to finish it and once I saw how it came out, I rushed out to purchase a frame to hang it in my den. Very proud and pleased what a wonderful way to spend our time of isolation during this pandemic.
