I usually paint my own original creations, but there's something just so relaxing about these paint kits. I love having the design all thought out already. They are very high quality. I did decide to use my own ideas for the unicorn 🦄 however to put my own definitive stamp on it. I bought 5 more kits to keep my busy through the winter! 😆 🤣 😂
I have done many paint by numbers before, but this was my first from this site. I enjoyed doing this and am pleased with the outcome overall. I like that it came rolled in a tube instead of folded up, so there were no hard creases to try to iron out. The paint was nice and thick, so it covered well. I only have two minor complaints.... 1. I typically only use a small brush for these, and the one it came with in that size had the protective plastic piece shoved into the bristles instead of around them, so they were all bent and unusable. (Not a huge deal, so I didn’t try to contact customer service or anything for it.) 2. The reason I took a star off... some of the paint colors seemed pretty off. In the picture, it looks like a white unicorn in the shadows, but the paint for it looks pink, purple, and green in person. The colors being off also affect the fairy’s skin. Some of the colors are really dark brown or bright orange, which creates harsh lines and it doesn’t look quite right next to the lighter peach colors in her skin. You can especially see this in her stomach and leg. I’m not even sure why they made the colors that drastic since it’s not like that in the original photo. Overall, I like this and am glad I did it. The little neighbor girl I gave it to was thrilled! I just thought I should mention those two things in case it’s helpful to someone else.
My Granddaughter had her bedroom painted so I decided to paint her a painting of her very favorite fantasy animal.
This is my 4th kit from Masterpiecebynumbers.com and I'm always so pleased with the quality of paint & canvas. It makes painting such a soothing, rewarding hobby & they always turn out exactly like the photo. I really enjoyed doing this one...spent several weeks enjoying the forest with this ethereal beauty & her companions.
