Part 3 in the MBN Summer 'How To' Series
In Part 3 of our MBN 'How To' series, we are going to tell you about framing your Masterpiece by Numbers painting. When doing paint by numbers, choosing a frame is half the fun. Masterpiece by Numbers offers canvases that are exactly 16 x 20 inches for the painted area. This is a standard sized frame that can be purchased at any craft store. You can use matting to really make the painting stand out and there is no need to pay extra for specially framed paintings at the frame store.
To frame your Masterpiece by Numbers painting under glass, you simply place the canvas inside the frame, fold the edges inwards, and place the back on the frame. It really is that easy. There is no need to cut the canvas and we actually recommend folding the sides inwards in the event you decide to change frames later on (we do this frequently to spice up a room!) There is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on custom framing, as you can easily do it yourself using our standard sized canvas!
If you like to frame your painting with the canvas exposed (not under glass), this is called framing it 'gallery style'. You can use wooden stretcher bars or any other type of material that allows you to affix the canvas with an apparatus to the back of the frame and then hang it on the wall. The canvas is exposed like those below and can make that decorated wall space look like an actual art gallery.
Some people get really creative and frame their Masterpiece by Numbers kits using everyday household items. This one is framed using a tv tray and it looks fabulous!
Whether you like to frame your paintings under glass or with the canvas exposed, Masterpiece by Numbers makes it simple and quick to frame your painting. The standard size and extra canvas around the edges makes it a breeze to frame your Masterpiece!
