To be honest, when I first saw this painting I thought it would involve filling in a bunch of brown and orange stripes and topping it with tiger eyes. That was far from being the case.
Actually most of the canvas was finely detailed and with extraordinary numbering that some people may find labor intensive. I found the end product to be well worth the extra effort. The color blending and contrasts were exceptional. I encountered many smaller areas that became difficult to define due to the high resolution and some of these did require a best guess color, but this was not a big deal. I helped these old eyes focus with bright light and magnification. Fine tipped brushes are a necessity. Good call on the extra cup for color #22. I found I had to
add water to some of the other darker colors to keep them alive in the end.
This is my 3rd painting by the Hautman Brothers, and it really tested my patience, very intricate in places but overall it was very satisfying, and hangs proudly with my other two of Animal Kingdom.
The tigers are beautiful but it is a very intricate.
Was very apprehensive about this one and painted the faces first as I thought these were the important parts. I need ent have worried as they turned out really well and the whole painting is good
Lovely finished picture, enjoyed doing this one, but really I enjoy doing all these painting by numbers I just relax and keeps me occupied whenever I have time to spare. This is a really relaxing hobby.
